To strengthen my marriage what are some things I should pursue?
I. #1. PURSUE LOVE.
GENESIS 24:67. “Isaac took Rebekah and she became his wife and he loved her.”
I. #2. PURSUE WITH SEX.
1. GENESIS 2:22, 25 TLB. (V22) “God made a woman and brought her to the man.” (v23) “This is it!" Adam exclaimed. She is part of my own bone and flesh! Her name is 'woman' because she was taken out of a man." (V25) “Now although the man and his wife were both naked, neither of them was embarrassed or ashamed.”
B. #1. Change your attitude.
1. 1 TIMOTHY 4:4 TEV "For everything God created is good and nothing is to be rejected, but all is to be received with a prayer of thanks."
2. HEBREWS 13:4 NKJV “Marriage is honorable among all, and the bed undefiled”.
3. PROVERBS 5:18-19 TLB “Be happy yes, rejoice in your wife. Let her tender embrace satisfy you. Let her love alone fill you with delight."
4. I Corinthians 6:20 "Use every part of your body to glorify God.
C. #2. Create the right atmosphere.
D. #3. Work hard to satisfy each other.
1 CORINTHIANS 7:3-4 NIV “The husband should fulfill his marital duty to his wife, and likewise the wife to her husband. 4 The wife's body does not belong to her alone but also to her husband. In the same way, the husband's body does not belong to him alone but also to his wife.”
I Corinthians 7:7 (Phillips) "Do not cheat each other of normal sexual relations unless you both decide to abstain temporarily to make special time for prayer. But afterwards you should resume relations as before or you will expose yourselves to the obvious temptations of Satan."
